What we want to achieve with everyone we coach!
Our philosophy at Raptors Performance has two key aspects.
Firstly, we want to take a holistic, evidence-based approach to training to ensure that we are maximising performance outcomes and helping you achieve your goals. This will help us ensure that we are providing the best program for each individual we coach!​
But more than that, we want people to develop a lifelong passion for sport & physical activity by providing them with a foundation and knowledge relevant to their sport and/or physical health. Raptors Performance will know we have been successful when we see people participating in sport & physical activity well into their lifespan.​

Core Values
These are what we want for athlete success!
1. Consistency is key!
Regardless of whether your goals are sports, fitness and/or life-related, you need to work on them consistently if you want to achieve them. This means showing up and getting it done, even when you don't feel like it. You'll always benefit from working on it consistently rather than sporadically.

​2. Communicate as much as possible
Communication is essential within any coach-athlete relationship, and it is one method we can use to track progress and training enjoyment. At Raptors Performance, we'd rather you ask us one million questions than zero!

3. Trust the Process
Results do not happen instantly; they arise from following the plan day in, day out. You not only have to stay consistent, but you also need to believe that your training will take you to where you want to go. Remember, every session planned has a purpose in getting you to where you want to be.

​4. ​​Less is more, more is less!
At Raptors Performance, we believe that the most effective programs are often the simplest. Too much complexity, and we won't be able to help you achieve your goals. In addition, we believe that athletes' training should be the least amount of volume that will give us the most effective results, relative to their sporting & fitness context.​


Our Approach to training:
Taking our philosophy and core values, this is how we train athletes!

Biopsychosocial approach: This is broken into three components - Bio (physical health, performance, etc.), psycho (beliefs, attitudes, etc.) and social (family, life outside of physical activity, etc.). This guides all our communication, programming and goal setting processes to help you

SMART Goal Setting: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant & Time-based goals are what we use to help athletes achieve their goals, and track & review progress.
